PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously and easily perform the measurements of vertical angle and oblique distance with precision in a survey by use of an electro-optical distance meter and total station. SOLUTION: This device is to locate an optical product that is a corner cube or hollow Littrow reflector generally called a reflecting prism, or the like to the collimation axis of the telescope of an electro-optical distance meter and total station surveying machine. According to this device, the vertical axis and horizontal axis of the rotating axis of the reflecting prism or the like can be simultaneously and easily visually confirmed by the collimation by the telescope. This device is to draw a pattern on the front surface of the reflecting prism or the like comprises a filter having the pattern drawn thereon or a tread laid thereon, which is placed in the front of the reflecting prism or the like. This device comprises a retaining member for the reflecting prism of the like having the pattern drawn thereon. The conformation of the patterns can be visually confirmed by the collimation by the telescope. This device is to vertically align a device on an observation point. This device comprises a shaft and knob for rotating the direction of the reflecting prism.
