PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bib joint box of which path within the joint can be opened and closed from outside of a wall, and components connected therein can be easily detached and replaced. SOLUTION: Path opening/closing means 7 operable from outside of a wall w is incorporated in a joint 5. The path opening/closing means 7 comprises a cylindrical valve rod 18 inserted into a joint body 11, a sealing member 19 which closes an opening at an inner end of the valve rod 18 and a handle 22 to move the valve rod 18 forward and backward. The path within the joint is closed off by the contact of a seal face 34 of the seal member 19 to a receiving portion 33a provided in the joint body 11, and when the seal face 34 of the seal member 19 goes away from the seal receiving member 33a, the path within the joint 5 is opened through between the seal receiving portion 33a and the seal face 34 of sealing member 19, between the inner periphery of the joint body 11 and the outer periphery of the valve rod 18, a through hole 39 of the wall around the valve rod 18, and the path within the valve rod.
