PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which can be made much compacter by applying a capacitor excellent in space efficiency as a charging capacitor for strobe light emission. SOLUTION: This camera incorporates a stroboscopic device and applies a capacitor obtained by forming flat capacitor 15 in cylindrical shape and inserting and housing it at the outer peripheral part 7a of a spool chamber 7 as a light emission charging capacitor. By this camera, the cylindrical capacitor need not be housed in the grip part of a camera main body as in the conventional camera with a built-in stroboscopic device, and the degree of freedom in terms of the selection of the shape of the camera main body is increased and the entire camera is made compacter.
