PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide-band multiple optical fiber and an optical fiber cable that are small in bending loss and transmission loss and that are suitable for high-speed communication. SOLUTION: A plurality of kinds of island parts 1 and 2 of different diameters are integrally formed in a mutually non-contact state by a sea part 3. Assuming that, in one kind of islands, the distance between the center of an island, which is arranged at a position farthest from the center of the optical fiber, and the center of the optical fiber is L1, the distance between the center of an island, which is arranged at a position nearest to the center of the optical fiber, and the center of the optical fiber is L2, and in any other kind of islands, the distance between the center of any one island and the center of the optical fiber is L3, the distributed type mixed multiple plastic optical fiber 5 is constituted so that the arrangement of the islands fulfills the relation of L2<L3<L1.
