COMPUTER AND ITS CONTROLLING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer equipped with a cache memory for realizing simple control as an RAM and a method for controlling the computer by preventing the necessity of complicate control for maintaining coherency. SOLUTION: This computer is provided with a main memory 29 and an information storing part 26 connected with the main memory 29, and equipped with a cache memory to be operated as a random access memory. This computer is also provided with a cache controller 25 for assigning an address space different from an address space corresponding to the main memory 29 to the cache memory when the cache memory is operated as the random access memory.
