PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lithium-transition metal composite oxides and a simple method of preparing the same, which is used as a positive electrode active substance capable of composing a lithium secondary battery having an excellent cycle characteristic. SOLUTION: Lithium-transition metal composite oxides of a layered rock salt structure have a basic composition of LiMeO2 (Me is one or more selected from Ni and Co), and crystals thereof are grown in the c-axis direction to a desired degree. Me(OH)2 having crystals grown in the c-axis direction to a desired degree is mixed with lithium salts, and the mixture is heat-treated. |
