摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently configure a network even by the use of the Internet or the like, where burst traffic fluctuation takes place through the effective utilization of the broadband performance of an optical fiber and the wavelength multiplex technology and to attain high-speed data communication at a low cost. SOLUTION: This network is configured, such that destination nodes are grouped and a specific wavelength is assigned to each group so as to share a transmission band in common. Furthermore, a combination between the transmission wavelength and the destination node making transmission with the wavelength is made variable, depending on a traffic state for each destination node and a receiver side sets a received wavelength and address information depending on the combination between the transmission wavelength and the destination node so as to revise the operating wavelength between the transmission and reception nodes.
