PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire which exhibits an improved adhesion of a coated resin to a core wire. SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is a thermoplastic polyester-covered wire formed by covering a core wire with a thermoplastic polyester resin composition. The thermoplastic polyester resin composition comprises (a) an aromatic polyester; and (b) an epoxy-modified block polymer formed by partially epoxidating a double bond of unsaturated carbons of a conjugated diene compound of a partial water addition product of a block copolymer consisting of a vinyl aromatic compound-based polymer block and a conjugated diene compound-based polymer block in the same molecule. The content of the component (b) in the composition is in the range of 1 to 30% by weight.
