METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INPUTTING CHINESE PIN-YIN BY NUMERIC KEY PAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable input of Chinese characters with Chinese Pinyin by using nine numeric keys of a telephone set or a remote controller. SOLUTION: Conversion keys are allocated by using keys '2' to '9' on the key pad to input Pinyin codes and combination of the inputted Pinyin codes is converted into the Chinese characters or words. Thus, difficulty in learning and the number of inputted and the number of keystrokes for input are reduced.
