PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate the number of dots with high accuracy, even when noise is contained in image data. SOLUTION: Imaga data inputted into a section 1 is divided into blocks by a section 2, and block images are converted into a spatial frequencies through orthogonal transformation in a section 3. A centroid of DCT coefficients except DC components is calculated by a section 4, and the number of lines is calculated by a section 5 on the basis of the coordinate value of the centroid. |
