PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric transducer exhibiting durability and photoelectric conversion characteristics, as well as a photoelectrochemical cell comprising the photoelectric transducer. SOLUTION: Disclosed herein are an electrolyte composition containing a compound represented by the following formula 1, and a photoelectric transducer and a photoelectrochemical cell: where Q represents an atomic group capable of forming a 5- or 6-membered ring aromatic cation together with a nitrogen atom, R001 represents L001-A01 (A01 represents a substituent when L001 represents a linkage, or A01 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent when L001 represents a divalent linking group), n01 represents an integer of 0 or 1 or more which is a number less than a maximum number of the R001 which can be present on the group Q, R002 represents L002-L003-A02 (L002 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group or a substituted or unsubstituted alkenylene group, L003 represents a divalent linking group, and A02 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent), X- represents an anion, and at least one of A01 and A02 is a substituent having a pKa of 3 to 15, of a conjugate acid of a compound consisting of hydrogen bonded thereto.
