PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system, a printing controller, a printer, a printing processing method and a storage medium to make the printing controller possible to acquire status information on the printer in its early stages when its status has changed. SOLUTION: In this printing system constituted by providing a host computer (host hereafter) and the printer connected with the host via a network, when change of the status is generated in the printer, interruption of status transmission requests is generated to the host (S3), when the host abandons a bus exclusive right of a host I/F of the printer (S4), the printer acquires the bus exclusive right of the host I/F (S5) and transmits the status to the host (S6).
