PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report data operation performed to contents to a server. SOLUTION: A contents utilizing device 100 acquires contents, which contain related information, provided by a contents provider 300 by a contents acquiring means 110. The acquired contents are preserved in a storage means 130, for example. When a contents processing means 120 performs data operation, for which a report is required, predetermined by a contract or the like, report data on this operation are generated and sent to a report data transmitting means 140. The report data transmitting means 140 transmits the report data to an address on the network of a report destination server. A data control means 220 of the server 200 generates a report by applying prescribed processing to the acquired report data, preserves the report in a storage means 230 and provides it to the contents provider 300 as needed. On the basis of the acquired report, the contents provider 300 provides service information to the user of the contents at timing of prescribed operation.
