PURPOSE: A rotating shaft supporting apparatus of a scroll compressor is provided to reduce assembling hours and parts, and to cut down manufacturing cost by forming an alignment unit with modifying the structure of a sub frame. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor comprises a rotating shaft(60) interlocking with a rotor, and a sub frame(200) installed in the lower part of the rotating shaft to support the lower part of the rotating shaft. An alignment unit(210) is formed in the sub frame to turn the rotating shaft actively in alignment with the main frame. The alignment unit has a bearing(211) installed around the rotating shaft to support the rotating shaft, and a bearing mount(201) formed in the inner periphery of the sub frame to place the bearing. The alignment of the rotating shaft is adjusted with moving the bearing in the bearing mount. Assembling efficiency is improved, and cost is reduced with forming the alignment unit.
