<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the total number of drive circuit devices increased by accompanying an increase in the total number of array waveguides lower than the total number of the drive circuit devices in the conventional constitution even if the total number thereof is increased. SOLUTION: Voltage is uniformly impressed to respective (i and j)th electrodes included in variable electrode groups 28A to 28F by each of the respective variable electrode groups 28A to 28F, by which light signals are shut off (namely, optical gates are closed) or the voltage is not impressed thereto, by which the light signals are passed as they are (namely, the optical gates are opened).</p> |
