摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical mobile packet communication system whose data throughput is not reduced by avoiding congestion, even in the case that mobile terminals simultaneously conducts packet communication at a temporarily concentrated time in the system. SOLUTION: A line termination section able to configure a standby communication channel is provided on each side between a plurality of base stations and one exchange station, in addition to an active communication channel, the exchange station side is provided with a function that monitors a reception data quantity of the communication channel and a function that extends/releases the standby communication channel. At the occurrence of abnormal data traffic, the standby communication channel is extended, part of packet communication calls of the active channels is shared to the extended communication channel to avoid congestion of the active channel. When the traffic restores a usual state, the extended communication channel is released to prepare for the occurrence of abnormal data traffic in other base stations thereby configuring the economical system.</p>
