The filter housing is fixed on the filter head by a bayonet quick-fit lock (12) having around the outer diameter on each quarter circle two pairs of projections and guide slits which seen circumferentially have at least two different sizes and thus arranged asymmetric so that the filter housing (13) can be inserted only in a single rotary position on the filter head in the longitudinal direction beyond the projections. The rotary angle between this insert position and the end position determined by the securing device (27) is smaller than a sixth of a complete revolution of the housing. The housing is beaker shaped and has at its open end a ring-shaped flange (28) by which it can be fitted on the filter head.
