Drugs having an effect of relieving hemicrania which contain l-menthol and an essential oil exclusively as the active ingredients. More particularly, ointments and patches having an effect of relieving hemicrania to be topically administered for relieving hemicrania which are prepared by blending l-menthol and an essential oil with ointment compositions containing a water-soluble polymer, a polyhydric alcohol and water.
