PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability of calibration work of colorimeters of a colorimeter unit and calibration work of a photographic processing machine. SOLUTION: The colorimeter unit is provided with the colorimeter 25 for colorimetry of a calibration print, is provided with a calibration plate 24 for calibration of the colorimeter 25 and is so constituted that the colorimeter 25 may be calibrated by performing colorimetry of a first part 26 to be subjected to colorimetry of the calibration plate 24 by the colorimeter 25. A second part 31 to be subjected to colorimetry which is subjected to colorimetry by the colorimeter 25 in an erroneous arrangement state of turning the calibration plate 24 inside out and placing the same at a prescribed point or placing the calibration plate in a position facing directions exclusive of the prescribed direction is ser at a color or color pattern different from that of the first part 26 to be subjected to colorimetry. The unit is provided with a discrimination section 32 which discriminates the erroneous arrangement state and a correct arrangement state in accordance with the result of the colorimetry of the first and second parts 26 and 31 to be subjected to colorimetry by the colorimeter 25 and an announcing means for announcing the results of the discrimination.
