The invention relates to a method for producing cut sections consisting of composite materials, according to which sections are cut out of a layer of material. Several layers of composite materials, each comprising at least one cover layer (4) which has a pattern and a foam layer (5) are arranged one on top of the other to form a stack (10) with their patterns matched on a needle table (20) in such a way that the motif of the cover layers (4) of the individual layers are in exact alignment with each other. The stack (10) is fixed, in order to maintain the exact pattern alignment of the individual composite layers and is placed on the working plate (31) of a cutting installation (30). The stack (10) is compressed by the generation of a vacuum, whereby the foam layers (5) of the individual composite layers are compressed. The individual cut sections are then cut out of the compressed stack (10).
