The system incorporates a U-shaped roll bar moving into/out of a cassette mounted in the vehicle. The cassette consists of two metal shells, e.g. a large high front section (1) and a lower end panel section (2), each having two semi shells (1a,2a) to accommodate support tubes (3). These are fastened in the semi-shells dependent upon the relative distance between the roll bar legs. The length of the support tubes is determined by the height of the end panel.
