<p>A method and system for the electronic collection and utilization of product warranty registration information centrally receives (Fig. 2) product registration information and communicates the information to third parties with associated consumer identifiers (20) stripped of all personal consumer information to provide a secure and confidential way to register products (50) and gain the maximum support and service from manufacturers and service providers. The registration system may also be linked to external product information sources (100) to provide product notices, such as recall and safety notices, to customers.</p> |
