A glossy object photographing method capable of more natural and aesthetic photographing of even a frame strong in surface reflection such as a metallic glasses-frame without capturing of an image of a camera and lens on the surface, glasses-frame photographing method, and an electronic catalog preparing method for a glasses-frame using this method. A method of photographing a glossy object (1) with a camera (2), characterized in that optical shield members (3, 4, 5) are interposed between a camera body (21) and the lens (22) of the camera (2) and the glossy object (1) so as not form a captured image of the camera (2) on the photographed glossy object image, an opening (41) is provided in the shield member (4) of the lens (22), and the opening (41) is formed to have a size and shape sufficient to photograph an image of the glossy object (1).
