The device has a servo motor driving a servo transmission, which un/couples a change gear unit of a gear change box to the motor. When uncoupled, the servo transmission (10) fixes at least part (12) of the change gear unit (16) positively and/or non-positively. The servo transmission has at least one servo element (18) with transmission unit (22), for effective coupling of the change gear unit part to the servo motor (84). The transmission unit is a coupling bar.
