<p>Novel hydroxamic acid compounds of Formula (I) are disclosed. These hydroxamates inhibit peptide deformylase (PDF), an enzyme present in prokaryotes and are therefore useful as antimicrobials and antibiotics. Methods of synthesis and use of the compounds are also disclosed.</p> |
