PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive which can settle the trouble that a tray holding a disk in a drive vibrates by resonance and causes the noises to give the unpleasant feeling to a user because of a faster rotational speed of the drive that is used in a CD-R and a CD-RW. SOLUTION: This optical disk drive is provided with a tray 21 which advances and retreats an optical disk to its loading and from its unloading positions, an optical pickup module 12, a sub-chassis 20 which holds the module 12 at a position under the tray 21 and a loading base 10 which supports the tray 21 so as to move it back and forth and also supports the sub-chassis 20 so as to move it vertically. The sub-chassis 20 is pivoted by the base 10 at its rear end part so as to be vertically moved and also has at least a single upward projecting part 32 at its front end part. Then the tray 21 has a plate spring 55 at a position which the part 32 of the moved-up sub-chassis 20 touches when the tray 21 is set at its loading position.
