PURPOSE: A method for after recording of audio data is provided to realize the after recording of audio data in real time within limited access time by multiplexing audio and video data based on an error correction code generation unit and writing the data on a re-writable recording medium. CONSTITUTION: Data written in real time are written by multiplexing audio and video data in the unit of an ECC(Error Correction Code) block unit. When multiplexing the audio and video data after an AV(Audio and Video) CODEC respectively compresses audio data and video data, respectively compressed audio data and video data are written in the unit of 16 sectors, 1 ECC block unit. Each 1ECC block is only composed of audio data and video data. A DSP(Digital Signal Processor) processes the data of all sectors in an ECC block. Thereafter, a system control unit decides if a sector in the ECC block is an audio sector or a video sector. In an audio block, only the position of the audio block is recorded.
