<p>The rubber (e.g. natural rubber, neoprene) cover is reinforced with a similarly shaped sheet of PTFE to which it is bonded by vulcanisation under pressure. The rubber cover may be further reinforcd with cord, or metal filaments. The cover has sufficient rigidity for operation at low pressures.</p> |
