<p>The liquid is passed through a first pipe into a sealed degassing vessel whose cross-section is greater than that of the pipe. It is removed from that vessel through a second pipe. The gas which escapes from the liquid in the vessel forms a gas pocket over the liquid from which only so much is alowed to escape that the rest of the pocket remains virtually under constant pressure. The liquid is removed through the second pipe under the pressure in the pocket.</p> |
