[Also in Division H2] Each of the terminals of a semi-conductor junction diode is provided with a necked portion so that the diode can be mounted on a plate by passing one of the terminals through a hole in the plate and fitting a spring clip which engages the necked portion of the terminal. The plate forms one electrical connection to the diode which may be mounted in either polarity. The semi-conductor wafer is sandwiched between the terminals around which is moulded an insulating sleeve. |
