The sheet collation and binding device has the transported sheets (10) stacked together and aligned via a sheet stop (34), with a rail (36) engaging the edges of the stacked sheets provided with controlled heating, via electric heating elements (48), for melting a thermo-adhesive toner substance for binding the sheets together, before removal of the sheet stop, to allow the sheet edge to be fitted with a binding clip.
