The invention relates to a wheel cap or wheel embellisher for clamping on a wheel rim. The inventive wheel cap is provided with a spring ring (1) which is essentially configured as an almost regular polygon. At least parts of the edges (9) or edge areas of the polygonal spring ring (1) are held on radially springy supports (14) of the wheel cap (11) for holding the wheel cap in a cavity on the wheel rim in such a way that said cap can be clamped, whereby said cavity is ring-shaped for instance. The edges or edge areas (9) are rotatably mounted on the supports (14) and/or the spring ring is interrupted at least on some of the edges or edge areas in such a way that, in addition to the resulting radial inwards movements of the spring ring (1), another movement of the spring ring or the individual segments of the spring ring can be carried out when a force radially acts on the edges or edge areas from the outside, whereby said segments are situated between the edges or edge areas. |
