The post (1) has preferably a similarly long additional profile (2) in the view area for forming a joint facility for fence panels (3), particularly fence grid panels and holding device (4) for them. The post and the additional profile in the contact areas each have a pair of strips (1.1/1.2, 2.1/2.2) running in both longitudinal axes. A hand-bendable wire piece (4) or similar connects the post and the fence panel, both of which have retainers for it. The wire pieces at one end are equally bent and can be bent around at the other end for fitting on the retainers after determining the fixture height.
