As the results of the analysis on the interaction of p53 and mortalin, it is found out that the domain of the amino acid nos. 253 to 282 of the mortalin protein and the domain of the amino acid nos. 312 to 352 of the p53 protein participate in the binding of mortalin to p53. As the results of the analysis on reporters in vivo, it is further found out that mot-2 protein exclusively inhibits the p53-dependent transcriptional activation.
