PURPOSE: A knife edge action center pin system for piano is provided to reduce noise and loss of motion energy by improving the shape of action center pin and using a press spring rather than a flange bushing cloth. CONSTITUTION: A system comprises action center pins(4,5), and an action flange(9) where action center pins are installed to be rotatable. The action center pin has a knife edge formed in a lengthwise direction, and the action flange has sectoral insertion holes(12) formed at both side surfaces of the action flange so as to allow the knife edge of the action center pin to be inserted into the sectoral insertion holes. The action flange has spring holders(6) protruded from both side surfaces adjacent to the sectoral insertion holes. The action center pin inserted into the sectoral insertion hole has a press spring(15) for elastically supporting the action center pin to be rotatable.
