<p>Prepn. of a stable enzymatic soln. suitable for curing problems in beer caused by the cold, comprises treating a purified papaya latex with an aqs. soln. contg. is not 20% of propylene glycol, leaving the mixture obtained to stand for a period of time sufficient for the soln. to clear and then filtering. Pref. mixture is left to stand for is not 5 hrs. at about 45 degrees C. specif. for is not 40 hrs at about 20 degrees C. Cloudiness, due to protean substances which become insoluble in the cold, is removed.</p> |
