POLYMER DISPERSED LIQUID CRYSTAL COMPOSITE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: Provided are a polymer dispersed liquid crystal composite to improve thermal deformation property and a liquid crystal display using the composite, which has low deterioration and change of contrast at even high temperature. CONSTITUTION: The polymer dispersed liquid crystal composite contains a liquid crystal material and a polymer material in the weight% ratio of 70:30-80:20, wherein the polymer material contains oligomers, a photo-initiator, and monomers comprising 5-15wt.% of monomers with trifunctional groups, less than 10wt.% of monomers with difunctional groups, and 70-80wt.% of monomers with monofunctional groups. And the liquid crystal display contains a liquid crystal layer formed by curing the polymer dispersed liquid crystal composite, wherein the liquid crystal layer has a thermal expansion of 10 micrometer/mdeg.C at a temperature of 10-50deg.C.
