A control device includes an incremental rotary position transducer having a pulse-signal waveform (Us) of high pulse number for detecting the respective setting position (S) of a positioning part moved by the actuator drive. A switching-control signal waveform (UK1:UK2) derived from the pulse-signal wave form (Us) of the incremental rotary position transducer is used for setting the current flow through the stator winding of a brushless DC motor used for driving the positioning part. The pulse number of the incremental rotary transducer is integrally divisible by the number of poles (P) of the DC-motor (M).
