SUBSTANCE: apparatus has chamber with transparent cylindrical walls; chamber has end lids with nozzles and accommodates coaxially arranged cylindrical metal pipe carrying working medium and solar concentrator mounted for varying its orientation to sun. Solar concentrator is built of set of mirrors and cylindrical converging lenses placed in parallel with chamber axis at focal distance from metal pipe surface not to exceed length of pipe between end lids; concentrator is also provided with operating mechanism for setting it in rotary motion about chamber incorporating system for tracking in the daytime the sun, the center line of central converging lens, and line of sun ray focused by this lens on conventional plane of metal pipe surface perpendicular to plane tangential line drawn through axis of sun ray focused onto metal pipe surface; heat-transfer apparatus is mounted for changing its angle of inclination to earth so as to ensure perpendicular incidence of sun rays on metal pipe surface depending on position of sun on the sky throughout a year. Cylindrical wall of chamber is made of transparent material such as glass and filled with inert gas. Pipe is made of high-melting metal; its surface is distinguished by minimal reflection of sun rays. In order to enlarge surface for heat transfer to working medium, high-melting metal rod with helical thread is placed inside pipe so that it contacts inner surface of pipe. End lids and nozzles are made of heat-insulating material capable of withstanding temperature up to 2000 C. Working-medium heating temperature depends on its speed of discharge through pipe, pipe length, and pipe heating temperature which, in its turn, depends on quantity of cylindrical converging lenses and their surface area perpendicular to incident sun rays.
