<p>A door fitting jig 1 comprises a generally L - shaped corner clamp 2 having opposed inwardly facing clamp surfaces 8,9 for releasably clamping therebetween the corner of a door 3, a pair of outwardly facing stabilisers 4,5, each secured to and extending from opposite sides of the clamp at or adjacent the corner and adapted to hold the clamp and thus the door held thereby in an upright position, so that the door may be presented to a door frame for fitting. Clamping may be by pads 15, 16, movable by screw threaded members 11,12; a shim 17 may be used to raise the door within the clamp. Means 18, 19 may serve to attach the clamp to a floor or bench; holes 20, 21 may be used to screw the clamp to a bench with the door horizontal, the screwdriver passing through holes 22, 23.</p> |
