Device for reducing the wind resistance of a lorry comprises a flexible, elastomeric profile which is attached to the front face (11) of the lorry trailer. The profile has a flat surface (1) which slopes towards the rear of the lorry and directs the slipstream towards the rear face of the trailer. It is fastened either to the front face of the trailer or to its roof or sides with a cable. Independent claims are included for: (a) a similar device with a curved surface which is tangential to the roof and sides of the trailer; (b) a similar device fitted to the trailer roof which prevents turbulence at the front edges of the trailer; (c) similar devices (22, 23) fitted in front of and to the rear of a carrier (20) for pallets under the trailer and/or air guides (24) between the axles on the rear bogey (32); (d) a device for reducing wind resistance and spray comprising sloping lateral shields fitted under the trailer; (e) a device for reducing wind resistance comprising a flexible guide (55) fitted to the rear of the trailer roof and which slopes downwards at an angle of 5 -15 deg ; (f) a similar device consisting of a streamlined rear spoiler; (g) a device for reducing wind resistance and spray comprising a shield fitted to the bottom rear of the trailer with a sloping face for guiding the slipstream; and (h) a device for reducing wind resistance comprising guides fitted on the trailer sides at the front and which have an air-permeable connection with the inside of the trailer at their rear edges.
