Determining the shear strength of lubricants, involves detecting state parameters of lubricant at two geometrically different shear gaps in oil line and detecting changes in state parameters

The method involves passing the lubricant through an oil line (1) with sensors (13,14) for detecting state parameters (6,10) of the lubricant at two geometrically different shear gaps (5,9) in the oil line and detecting changes in the state parameters. The state parameters measured are pressure and temperature. The changes in state parameters are detected by comparing the state parameters at the two shear gaps.
