PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging method and an imaging apparatus in which reduction in size, low power consumption and shortening of startup time can be expected and safety of an operator can be ensured upon occurrence of a trouble such as paper jamming. SOLUTION: In a method for forming a predetermined image on a recording sheet 2 using a plurality of nozzles for ejecting micro liquid drops of colored ink onto the imaging face of a recording sheet 2 in a print region 6, a counter plate 11 having high magnetic permeability disposed oppositely, through a gap, to the imaging face of a recording sheet 2 carried from the print region 6 to a fixing region 10, a ferromagnetic core 12 disposed on the non-imaging face side of the recording sheet 2 carried to the fixing region 10, and a winding 13 wound around the core 12 and connected with a high frequency modulation circuit 14, ink is ejected from the plurality of nozzles to the imaging face 17 of the recording sheet 2 in the print region 6, the high frequency modulation circuit 14 is driven to supply power to the winding 13, and an eddy current is fed to the ink on the imaging face of the recording sheet 2 carried to the fixing region 10 thus accelerating dry up of the ink. |
