PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow quick performance of the marking work and prevent hazard due to careless slipping-off of a marking-string pin from the object to be inked. SOLUTION: This marking-string pin is furnished with a marking-string pin body 10 having such a structure that a shank 12 made of synthetic resin is integrally formed on the base part of a stylus 11 and a protecting material 20 to surround the periphery of the stylus 11. The protecting material 20 has a consolidated structure consisting of a base 21 engaged removably with the shank 12, a spring 22 extending double spirally as surrounding the stylus 11, and a pressure ring 23 installed at the tip of the spring 22. A marking string 2 tied with the shank 12 of the marking-string pin body 10 is passed on the inside surface of the protecting material 20 and led out from the pressure ring 23, and only the part of stylus 11 near its pointed tip protrudes from the pressure ring 23.
