PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent powder of a carbon brush from attaching to a power cord and improve cooling efficiency of the power cord in an inside air circulating vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: In the vacuum cleaner provided with a dust collection fan 4 to suck in air from an air intake hole 10 of a suction nozzle 7, a commutator motor 3 to drive the dust collection fan 4, a dust collection filter 5 to filter the air sucked by the dust collection fan 4, an exhaust air circulating channel 11 to circulate the exhaust air passing through the dust collection filter 5 to the proximity of the air intake hole of the suction nozzle 7 and a vacuum cleaner body 1 with the dust collection fan 4, the commutator motor 3 and part of the exhaust air circulating channel 11 built in it, a cooling fan 30 driven by the commutator motor 3 is provided in the vacuum cleaner body 1 and on the upstream side of the cooling fan 30 a cord reel 29 is provided.
