PURPOSE: A method for controlling a knocking using an air flowing sensor is provided to enhance a torque of an engine, an air fuel ratio of the engine and a driving property of a vehicle by advancing an ignition timing of the engine based on the resultant value after calculating a moisture weight ratio of air absorbed to the air flowing sensor. CONSTITUTION: If a knocking is generated at an engine(50), an ECU measures an air amount absorbed by an air flowing sensor and calculates a moisture weight ratio of air(51). If the moisture weight ratio is 1 or less(71), an intake temperature and a cooling temperature are measured, the knocking is controlled(80) by delaying(78) an ignition angle of the engine based on a map data of the ECU defined according to the measured temperature. If the moisture weight ratio is 1 or larger(61), the knocking is controlled(80) by advancing(64) the ignition angle of the engine based on a map data of the ECU defined according to the measured moisture weight ratio and enhancing a torque of the engine.
