PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower capable of suppressing a high frequency noise emitted from an exhaust gas port with exhaust gas. SOLUTION: This electric blower 110 comprises a soundproof tube 213 covering the outer periphery of the electric blower. The exhaust port 403 of the soundproof tube 213 is provided at a position away from the exhaust port 401 of the electric blower 110 in the direction of rotating axis thereof, and a recessed part 402 having a specified depth is provided circumferentially on the inner wall of the soundproof tube 213. Thus, the exhaust gases including the prominent noise generated by an interference of an impeller (not shown) with an air guide (not shown) are exhausted from the electric blower 110 and, while the gas reach the exhaust port 403 of the soundproof tube 213, pass the recessed part 402. This plays a role of a side branch in an acoustic circuit, and noise of a specified frequency determined by the depth of the recessed part 402 can be suppressed so as to provide a silent vacuum cleaner.
