PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote accuracy and reliability of a stress diagnosis in a stress diagnostic method and a stress diagnostic device for a ground anchor. SOLUTION: In a ground anchor screwing a nut 8 pushing a structure through an anchor plate 7 in the upper end of a tendon 5 anchoring the lower end side to the ground 3, after stress acting on the anchor plate 7 is measured, tensile stress acting on the tendon 5 is diagnosed based on the measured stress.
