PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent insecticide composition capable of effectively controlling various kinds of vermin and mites. SOLUTION: The objective insecticide composition contains, as active components, a pyrethroid compound of formula I (R is a group of formula II, formula III or formula IV; R1 and R2 are each the same or different F, Cl or methyl group; R3 is H or methyl; and R4 is a lower alkyl) and at least one compound selected from phthalthrin and imiprothrin at a weight ratio of 3:7 to 9:1.
