PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily manufacturing a photo-curable alkyd resin which has a low viscosity, a low smell and a low stimulation and forms a coated film showing good adhesion. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an alkyd resin having an oxetane ring includes a process of reacting (A) a polyhydroxyl alcohol, (B) a polybasic acid and (C) a 6 to 30C aliphatic acid or a glycerin ester thereof with each other in the existence of an oxetane compound having a hydroxyl group or a glycidyl group.
